Labra-lion causes confusion
Police in Norfolk Virginia, USA have responded to calls about a lion loose on the streets.
Police have called the local Zoo to make sure that the 2 lions the zoo has were still there and had not escaped which they were. After the initial confusion, it turned out that the “lion” was actually a Labradoodle belonging to Daniel Painter named Charles the Monarch. Daniel has had Charles the Monarch clipped and groomed to look like a lion.
Daniel has had his Labradoodle’s coat clipped to look like the mascot of Old Dominion University and he is asked to attend many parties thanks to Charles being such a big hit that people are disappointed when Charles is not there. Charles the Monarch is so popular that he has his own twitter followers and over 4700 Facebook fans. Daniel likes to call his dog a Labra-lion.
Police have also informed Daniel that his Labradoodle has been reported as a lion by concerned citizens many times in the past.
